This Privacy Policy describes how Hangzhou Wuaiyou Network Technology Co., Ltd. ("we", "us", or "the Service"), operator of anims.ai, collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our web application, APIs, and related tools (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Retention: account data while your account is active; uploaded source images and outputs for up to 90 days after job completion unless you delete them sooner.

1. What Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide

Account info: email address (or phone number if you register via SMS), display name (optional), authentication tokens issued by our identity partner.
Uploads: images you upload as source assets and any prompts you submit to text-to-image generation.
Payment metadata: billing email, plan code, transaction identifiers. Card numbers and full payment instruments are processed and stored by Paddle as our merchant of record. We receive only the metadata needed to credit your account.

1.2 Information collected automatically

Usage logs: request timestamps, endpoints called, IP address, user agent, error traces. Used for debugging, security, and rate limiting.
Job metadata: the parameters you pick (action, quality, padding, prompt), credit cost, completion status.

2. How We Use Your Information

To run the Service: process uploads, generate animations / images, store outputs, deduct credits.
To bill: create checkout sessions with Paddle, grant credits on payment, process refunds.
To secure: detect abuse, enforce rate limits, investigate suspicious activity.
To support: respond to questions you send to contact@wuiyou.com.
To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

We do not use your uploaded images, prompts, or generated outputs to train AI models — neither our own nor any third party's.

3. Legal Basis (EEA / UK Users)

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on:

Contract: processing necessary to deliver the Service you signed up for.
Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, service improvement.
Consent: where we ask for it (e.g., optional marketing email — not used currently).
Legal obligation: tax, accounting, responding to lawful requests.

4. Sharing Your Information

We share data only with the third parties needed to run the Service:

Paddle (merchant of record) — payment processing, billing, tax compliance. See Paddle's privacy policy.
Aliyun OSS — storage for uploaded images and generated outputs. Files are stored in private buckets; access is via short-lived signed URLs.
OpenAI (and DMX as proxy) — text-to-image inference for the gpt-image-2 generator. Prompts you submit are sent to OpenAI for the duration of the generation request.
Identity partner — authentication (login, OTP, refresh tokens).

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or in connection with a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, bankruptcy) — in which case we will notify affected users.

5. Cookies and Tracking

anims.ai uses localStorage (not cookies) to store authentication tokens client-side. We do not use third-party analytics, ad trackers, or cross-site tracking pixels. The Paddle checkout page (a separate domain) may set its own cookies under Paddle's policy.

6. Your Content

You retain all intellectual property rights in the images you upload and the outputs we generate from your inputs. By uploading, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license strictly to process and deliver the Service to you (e.g., reading the file from storage, passing it to inference providers, returning the result to you). This license terminates when you delete the asset or close your account.

7. Data Retention

Account data: kept while your account is active and for up to 90 days after closure (for fraud / dispute review).
Uploaded source images: retained until you delete them or close your account.
Generated outputs: stored for at least 7 days (signed URL validity); we may keep copies for up to 90 days for support/troubleshooting unless you delete them.
Payment records: retained as long as required by tax and accounting law (typically 5–7 years), in pseudonymized form where possible.
Logs: rolling window of approximately 30 days unless retained longer for an active investigation.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices: TLS for all transport, signed URLs for storage access, scoped API tokens, hashed credentials, and access controls on production infrastructure. No system is 100% secure; you use the Service at your own risk.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (EEA, UK, California, Canada, Australia, etc.) you may have rights to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Correct inaccurate data.
Delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements).
Object to or restrict certain processing.
Port your data to another service.
Withdraw consent where processing relies on it.

To exercise any of these rights, email contact@wuiyou.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Do Not Track

anims.ai does not respond to Do Not Track browser signals. We do not engage in cross-site behavioral tracking that DNT signals are designed to limit.

11. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has registered, contact us and we will delete the account.

12. International Transfers

Hangzhou Wuaiyou Network Technology Co., Ltd. is registered in the People's Republic of China. Our infrastructure spans multiple jurisdictions to deliver the Service globally — including (without limitation) Aliyun's overseas regions for web hosting and storage, and OpenAI / DMX endpoints for inference. By using the Service you acknowledge your data may be processed in countries other than your own. We rely on standard contractual safeguards with our subprocessors where applicable.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced on the Service and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
